Referral Program Terms

These platform-level terms apply to participation in referral, affiliate, and hiring-referral programs on Affiliona. Individual programs may add their own, more specific rules, which are set by the business and shown on the opportunity page. Where a program's own rules differ, those rules govern that program's reward details; these terms continue to govern the rest of your use of the platform.

1. Eligibility and Enrollment

To participate you must have a verified Affiliona account and meet any geographic eligibility rules the business has set for the program. Some programs are worldwide; others are available only in specific countries or regions. If a program requires a location and you have not provided one, you will be asked to confirm a self-declared location before you can enroll. Enrolling creates a participant record and issues you a unique referral identifier and link.

2. Referral Identifiers and Attribution

Your referral identifier is unique and should be kept to yourself; sharing it publicly is how you promote, but only activity that can be attributed through a valid referral link counts toward your referrals. Attribution follows a "last click" model: a visitor who follows multiple referral links is attributed to the most recently followed link. Each program defines an attribution window; conversions occurring after that window are not attributed.

3. Qualifying Events

A qualifying event is whatever action the business defines as earning a reward or commission — for example, a registration, purchase, subscription, lead, appointment, or, for hiring referrals, a defined milestone such as an interview or hire. The qualifying event and any conditions are set by the business and shown on the opportunity page where available.

4. Rewards and Commissions

Referral programs may offer per-referral rewards or milestone rewards (such as cash, credit, points, discounts, or coupons). Affiliate programs may offer fixed, percentage, or tiered commissions. Rewards and commissions are recorded in an "earned" or "pending" state when a qualifying event is attributed to you. They become payable only after the responsible business reviews and approves them. The business may reverse or correct rewards or commissions recorded in error or associated with prohibited activity.

5. Duplicates, Fraud, and Self-Referral

Each qualifying event is recorded once; duplicate submissions are ignored. Affiliona monitors for suspicious patterns — such as self-referral, fabricated or repeated conversions, and automated clicks — and may flag activity for business review, remove it from public rankings, or, in serious cases, suspend or terminate participation. Referrals must reflect genuine, independent qualifying activity. You may not refer yourself or create artificial activity to earn rewards.

6. Geographic Eligibility

Eligibility is determined by the location you self-declare in your account and by the program's geographic rules. Declaring a false location to access a program is prohibited. Affiliona does not independently verify your location.

7. Program Changes and Termination

A business may modify, pause, or end its program at any time. When a program is paused or ended, your existing referral link stops attributing new conversions, and outstanding reward or payout activity is handled according to the business's rules and these Terms. A business or Affiliona may also remove a participant for violation of these Terms or a program's rules.

8. Payout Eligibility

Where a business pays cash rewards or commissions, you may request a payout of your available, approved balance using a payout account you add within the Service. Payout requests are reviewed and processed by the business. Affiliona records the state of payouts but does not itself move funds. Payouts are at the business's discretion and subject to its review, including any fraud or risk review.

9. Taxes

You are solely responsible for any taxes owed on rewards, commissions, or bounties you receive.

10. No Guaranteed Earnings

Affiliona does not guarantee any earnings, referrals, conversions, or rankings. Past performance of any program is not indicative of future results.

11. Platform vs. Business Responsibilities

Affiliona provides the infrastructure that records attribution and reward state. The business that publishes a program is responsible for its program terms, for approving rewards and commissions, and for paying what it approves. Disputes about a program's reward rules should be raised with the business that operates that program; Affiliona may assist but is not a party to the underlying referral relationship.
